At the EXIT Festival, the activation we designed and implemented for Coca Cola represented an innovative blend of advanced technology and branded experience. Utilizing Kinect AR technology, we created an interactive “virtual mirror” that allowed festival-goers to immerse themselves in the world of Coca Cola apparel, which was reflected on them in real-time. This system enabled users to “try on” t-shirts, hoodies, and other branded items without physical contact, simulating how the clothing would look on them.
The true value of this activation lay in its connection to the real-world experience on-site – the apparel showcased in AR was identical to the items available at the Coca Cola stand at the festival. In addition to the option to purchase, there was an element of excitement as lucky participants could win the same items through a raffle.
As an additional technological leap and a nod to modern trends in digitalization, each purchase of a t-shirt or hoodie came with a unique NFT (non-fungible token). This token was automatically transferred to the buyer’s digital wallet, allowing Coca Cola to create a lasting digital memento and add extra value to the user’s experience, giving them a place in an exclusive community of Coca Cola NFT owners.
This activation not only bridged the physical and digital realms but also elevated user interactivity and engagement to a new level, offering a unique opportunity for users to experience the Coca Cola brand in an innovative and contemporary way.
