APPLICATIONS

INTERACTIVE SURFACES

How can technology help brands get more exposure?

INTERACTION WITH LARGE DIGITAL SURFACES

DETECTION OF TOUCH AND OBJECTS

When interacting with digital surfaces we usually use fingers and touch, but there are other methods where we can also use detection of objects or codes on top of the surface. Usually, when interacting with LCDs, we use touch frames as most reliable and affordable solution to create touch responsiveness. Touch frames can provide so-called multi-touch capabilities where we can detect more than one finger interaction, similar to how we interact with screens of mobile phones. Touch frames are available in standard LCD TV sizes and can be extremely thin almost indistinguishable from conventional TV frames.
Touch frame method cannot be used to detect objects. For object recognition, we develop a custom built solution that uses rear projection and infra-red sensors to “see” the surface of the screen. They are created per project and adjusted for optimal performance based on environmental conditions.

INTERACTIVE BAR

CUSTOM BUILT DIGITAL BAR

Interactive bar represents a new and innovative solution which transforms traditional bar into a giant interactive surface which reacts to touch and objects placed on it. Interactive bar creates a new experience, information source and entertainment space in a venue. On its interactive surface, brands can distribute their messages through engaging content and unique user experience.

INTERACTIVE PANELS

CUSTOM BUILT PANELS

Panels use infrared and rear-projection technology to display image and detect objects and their movement. If a large surface is needed, then multiple projectors are used together to generate one large image. Panels can detect objects placed on them, and if unique codes on the bottom of objects are used, we can even distinguish objects one from another.

INTERACTIVE DISPLAYS

CUSTOM BUILT DISPLAYS

If there are needs for extremely large surface interaction, we also use custom created rear-projection based infrared detection. These screens can be huge and allow many points of interaction at the same time. One example is ball throwing games where many balls are thrown at the screen, and each point is correctly detected when the ball hits the screen.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

An interactive bar can be anywhere from 1 to 6 or more meters long.

We say it is an infinite number of objects/points.

Yes. External lighting conditions must not include strong infrared sources. Sun is a strong infrared source for example. Also, yellow lighting bolts usually have an infrared emission. We recommend usage of LED lighting in environments where interactive bars and panels are used. Touch frames do not have these limitations.

Yes. We produce and manufacture interactive bars, tables and panels. They are custom built for client’s specific needs.
